Why I love @Hashable (and you will too)

Are you using 400 year old Business Cards and antiquated Contact Management systems in the exponentially growing Social Media world? Time to make technology work for your Relationships! Still in BETA, Hashable.com is worth checking out with major changes coming in the very near term future.

Hashable is about relationships

Drop Social Media. Make it Relationship Media. What we have here are relationships, of some sort, between people.  Mike Yavonditte and Emily Hickey are great people.  Having met them I went from being a fan of @Hashable to a firm supporter of “them”. This view is shared by many I’ve spoken with (literally, & Skype). Mike reaches out, engages people, DMs them, and follows up. TKO in Spoke vs. Plaxo Deathmatch! Learn which online contacts organizer won a real life battle.

Lack of acceptance is what killed Spoke in this Deathmatch vs Plaxo.

A week ago we announced: Deathmatch: Spoke vs. Plaxo.  May the best online contact manager win.

The Winner is in by a knock out!  Plaxo crushed Spoke on every count.

We are just going to put Spoke out of its misery here.  No need for a two week evaluation the result are clear (click here for original contest).  All thumbs down for Spoke and all thumbs up for Plaxo.  Let the Lions now enter the Colosseum to clean up…

The basic promise of both services is to automate contact management.  To primarily help you keep your contacts up-to-date.  Both services extend their offerings in different ways and we did not try to compare services head to head, although how they extend their offerings does show up as aspects of the evaluation criteria.
